Carrie Ann Edwards: What does Shania Twain’s sister do for a living?

On August 28, 1965, in Windsor, Ontario, Clarence Edwards and Sharon (née Morrison) gave birth to Shania Twain.

Her siblings are Jill and Carrie Ann. Her mother and daughters moved to Timmins, Ontario, when she was two years old as a result of her parents’ divorce.

Sharon and Jerry Twain, an Ojibwa couple from the nearby Mattagami First Nation, gave birth to Mark. Jerry adopted the girls and legally changed their last names to Twain.

When Darryl’s mother passed away when Mark was a little child, Jerry and Sharon adopted the infant as their own. Twain’s association with Jerry has led to erroneous media claims that she is Ojibwe.
