The birth of Carlton Davis III occurred on December 31, 1996. He plays cornerback for the National Football League’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Buccaneers selected him in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft out of Auburn University, where he played college football.
Davis played high school football for Miami Norland Senior High School in Miami Gardens, Florida. He had made a commitment to play collegiate football for Ohio State University before changing to Auburn University.
Davis enrolled at Auburn as a true freshman in 2015. He recorded 56 tackles and three interceptions towards the end of the season. In 2016, as a sophomore, he made 46 tackles.
Davis has 36 tackles, 12 pass deflections, and one interception at the end of the 2017 campaign. Davis abused Asians on Twitter on April 4, 2021. He followed by quoting a passage from the Urban Dictionary that claims its use also denotes lame in South Florida vernacular after being warned that it was an insult against Asian people. He didn’t tweet an apology or a promise to stop using the phrase until the day after.
