Carlo Dante Rota is a British-born Canadian actor who is best known for his role in Little Mosque on the Prairie.
Rota has also made a name for himself by starring in the Fox series 24 and Jane the Virgin.

Carlo Rota is currently married to Canadian actress, Nazneen Contractor. She is best known for her role as Layla Hourani on CBC’s The Border and has appeared alongside her husband, on the shows, 24 and Relic Hunter.
After the production of the Canadian drama series The Border in 2009, Contractor moved to Los Angeles. There, the couple tied the knot on April 1, 2010.
She was born in Bombay to Parsi parents. When she was seven years old, she moved to Nigeria with her family. The family moved again and finally settled in Toronto, where she spent the majority of her childhood and young adulthood.
During their marriage, they have been blessed with two children; a son and a daughter.
