A disturbing incident has left residents of a neighborhood in Accra shaken.

Per reports reaching us, a lady woke up to find her car stolen from her gated apartment. The incident has raised so many concerns about the security situation in the vicinity, with many residents expressing fears of recurring situations

The victim who is in her late 30s, wishes to remain anonymous, says she went to bed with her car parked securely in her compound.

However, she was shocked to the bone when she discovered the vehicle was gone the next morning.

What baffled her most was the fact that she still had her car keys intact with her yet her baby was gone. “I have my car key with me and I have never had a spare key, they didn’t break the glass too so I don’t know how they managed to move the car” were her statements after the incident.

Police have launched an investigation into the matter, but no suspects have been identified at this time.

Residents in the area are being urged to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities.

The incident has also sparked a conversation on social media, with many Ghanaians expressing their concern about the rising crime rate in Accra.

One user claims some of these car dealers keep the original keys to the vehicles they are selling and also key trackers in the cars which is one way this car theft could be executed with ease.
