In May 2016, Heard filed for divorce and obtained a temporary restraining order against Depp, alleging in her court declaration that he was verbally and physically abusive throughout their relationship, usually while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
When Depp was 12 years old, his mother gave him a guitar and he began playing in various bands.
In 1979, he dropped out of Miramar High School at the age of 16 to pursue a career as a rock musician.
