NFL star Caleb Farley’s father, Robert Farley, tragically lost his life in a massive explosion that occurred early on a Tuesday at Caleb’s North Carolina residence.
The explosion left their multimillion-dollar house in ruins, prompting first responders to search through the debris to recover Robert Farley’s body.
Caleb Farley, a cornerback for the Tennessee Titans, was fortunately not at home during the explosion.
There were no signs of malicious intent, and it is thought that the explosion was caused by the natural gas lines on the property.
Christian Rogers, a friend of the family who was there when the explosion happened, was brought to the hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.
The 6,300 square foot home on the lakeside property in Mooresville, close to Charlotte, was reduced to ruins. Every car parked outside the house was also destroyed.
The nearby Maiden, North Carolina, native Caleb Farley, 24, played American football at Virginia Tech before the Tennessee Titans selected him with the 22nd overall choice in 2021. After the horrific event, he was spotted chatting to officials at the scene.
All vehicles parked outside the home were also demolished.
