Dreams FC coach Abdul Karim Zito is confident that his team is well-prepared for a potential penalty shootout in their upcoming CAF Confederation Cup semifinal clash against Zamalek.

The crucial match is set to take place on Sunday in Kumasi, with Dreams FC needing a strong performance to progress to the final.

After a goalless draw in the first leg in Cairo, Zito knows the challenge that Zamalek poses and the importance of being ready for all scenarios, including penalties.

While Dreams FC understands that a win is crucial to securing a spot in the final for the first time, they are also aware that a scoring draw would see Zamalek advance.

Speaking to Kumasi-based Akoma FM, Zito reassured fans that the team is ready for a penalty shootout if necessary.

He pointed out that during training, only three out of twenty-four players failed to score in the penalty shootouts, demonstrating the players’ readiness for the high-pressure situation.

“We are hoping to secure qualification in regulation time on Sunday, but we are prepared for penalties if it comes to that,” Zito said.

Dreams FC will be aiming to put on a strong performance and secure a win against Zamalek to move one step closer to making history in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Fans will be eagerly anticipating the outcome of what promises to be a thrilling match on Sunday.
