Christopher “C. J.” Henderson, Jr. (born September 30, 1998) is an American football cornerback with the National Football League’s Carolina Panthers (NFL).
Henderson was born and raised in Miami, Florida, where he graduated from Christopher Columbus High School. As a senior, he was asked to participate in the All-America Bowl as a running back and cornerback for the Explorers. He was a four-star prospect who initially committed to play at the University of Miami before decommitting to pursue other opportunities. Henderson eventually agreed to sign a letter of intent to play for the University of Florida.
Henderson had 22 tackles and four interceptions as a true freshman for the Gators, starting five of them. After doing so in his first two career games against Michigan and Tennessee, he became the first freshman in Florida history to return an interception for a touchdown in back-to-back games.
