Byron Murphy Jr., a cornerback for the Arizona Cardinals in the National Football League, was created on January 18, 1998. (NFL). At Washington, he played collegiate football.
Murphy went to Saguaro High School in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was a wide receiver and cornerback. He had 52 defensive stops, seven interceptions, and 21 touchdowns on 88 receptions for 1,733 yards as a senior. Murphy made a commitment to play collegiate football at the University of Washington.

Murphy appeared in six games with six starts in 2017 after redshirting his freshman year at Washington in 2016. He was injured and missed seven games. Before the season was up, he had 16 tackles and three interceptions. He returned to Washington in 2018 and got going there. He has two interceptions in the Pac-12 Football Championship Game of 2018, one of which he returned 66 yards for a score. He received the MVP award as a result of these actions. On January 7, 2019, Murphy declared for the 2019 NFL Draft, stating that he would forgo his last two years of eligibility.
