A businessman accused of threatening to kill a businesswoman has been given GHC50,000.00 bail with two sureties by the Amasaman Circuit Court.
The sureties were directed by the court, presided over by Ms. Enid Marful-Sau, to deposit their legitimate identity cards with the court registry.
Victoria Agbordo was not told by Alfred Alorde that “I will kill you.”
His next scheduled appearance is for March 28, 2024.
Chief Inspector Salifu Nashiru of the police informed the court that Alorde, the accused, and Victoria, the complainant, were both business owners who resided in Domeabra.
He said that on January 23, 2024, at roughly 07:30, the complainant was dropping off her children at school when she arrived in front of the accused’s residence and the accused began arguing with her, accusing her of being the one who reported him to the police for stealing his money.
“I will beat you, knock you with my car and kill you and you will see.” The accused was cited by the prosecution.
According to Chief Inspector Nashiru, the culprit was taken into custody after the complainant brought the crime to the attention of Danchira Police on January 24, 2024.
He claimed that following an investigation, he was filed for the offense and brought before the judge.
