Nigerian afrobeats star Burna Boy has taken his love for Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale and his fan army, Shatta Movement Family, to the next step.
The “Ye” hitmaker didn’t forget to give props to his collaborator during a freestyle session on American radio host Sway Calloway’s “Sway In The Morning” show.
His freestyle – which is one of the best so far from an African act on Sway’s Universe – cuts deep and he injects some seriousness in his delivery.
While performing, he gave a huge shout out to Shatta Wale and his fans.
“Shatta Movement is my life mi sey,” Burna Boy sings on a hot bounce beat.
In 2017, Burna Boy gave Shatta Wale one of his biggest career hits, titled “Hosanna”. They have been close friends ever since.
