Afrobeats sensation Burna Boy has once again set a new record in his career. The talented musician has become the first African artist to reach two billion streams in the United Kingdom.
During a sold-out show at Koko Camden in London, Burna Boy was presented with a Brit plaque to commemorate this incredible achievement. Just weeks earlier, he had received a Brit 1 billion streams plaque at another sold-out show at the London Stadium.
In his acceptance speech, Burna Boy emphasized the importance of perseverance and fighting for one’s rights. He made it clear that reaching this milestone was not easy, stating, “You’ve to fight for your right.”
When a presenter attempted to suggest that he had already achieved success and didn’t need to fight anymore, Burna Boy stood his ground, insisting, “No. You know, we have to fight for our rights.”
This latest accomplishment adds to Burna Boy’s already impressive list of achievements and solidifies his position as one of Africa’s leading music stars. Congratulations to Burna Boy on this well-deserved recognition!
