Burna Boy joins Nollywood with debut movie ‘3 cold dishes’

Grammy-winning Nigerian musician Burna Boy is expanding his horizons by venturing into the movie industry. The singer, also known as Damini Ogulu, is set to produce his first Nollywood film titled ‘3 Cold Dishes’ in collaboration with Black Mic Mac.

The movie will be produced through Spaceship Films, a company co-founded by Burna Boy and his mother, Bose Ogulu. ‘3 Cold Dishes’ will also be co-produced by Black Mic Mac, Ifind, Alma Prods, Asurf Films, and Martian Network.

Directed by Asurf Oluseyi and written by Tomi Adesina, the film tells a captivating story that spans across Nigeria, the Republic of Benin, and Côte d’Ivoire. According to director Asurf Oluseyi, the film showcases the strength and resilience of its characters and has been a labor of love to bring to life.

The star-studded cast of ‘3 Cold Dishes’ includes Osas Ighodaro, Femi Jacobs, Wale Ojo, Ruby Akubueze, and Brutus Richards, as well as actors from Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal.

Burna Boy’s foray into the movie industry is yet another exciting chapter in the multi-talented artist’s career, and fans are eagerly anticipating the release of ‘3 Cold Dishes’ to see his creative vision come to life on the big screen.
