Yaw Buaben Asamoah, a spokesman for Mr. Alan Kyerematen’s campaign, praised his imaginative leadership as the previous Minister of Trade and Industry.
The NPP flagbearer candidate is now touring the Upper West Region to inform party supporters of his presidential aspirations.
The esteemed politician downplayed allegations that Mr. Kyerematen was a member of the Economic Management Team (EMT) that led to the current status of the Ghanaian economy.
Speaking to the media at the party’s Wa headquarters, Yaw Buaben rather lavished praise on Mr. Kyerematen’s vision going back to his first term serving under the former President, John Agyekum Kuffuor.
Mr. Kyerematen has served as the Trade and Industry Minister for more than ten years, making him one of Africa’s longest-serving sector ministers, as evidenced by the several international platforms to which he has been nominated.
Together with Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and other NPP members, Mr. Kyerematen would be running in the presidential primary elections.
