Two eminent British theater professionals are developing a Stranger Things stage play, and Netflix has confirmed a spin-off TV series.

According to Netflix, the play will be directed by Stephen Daldry and produced by Sonia Friedman, and it will be “set within the world and mythology of Stranger Things.”
It will be one of several new initiatives that the Duffer brothers, who created Stranger Things, will be in charge of.
The pair’s “original idea” will serve as the foundation for the cinematic spin-off.
Few specifics were provided by Netflix, however Ross Duffer recently stated on the Happy Sad Confused podcast that the new series would be “1,000% different” from the present one.
Days after the fourth and penultimate season of Stranger Things’ final episode was released, Netflix made its announcement.
It has become the first season of an English-language show to be watched on the massive streaming platform for more than a billion hours.
