After leaping from a boat in Italy to save his son, a British man is believed to have perished.
According to the local coastguard, Leicestershire resident Aran Chada was on vacation at Lake Garda with his partner and two kids.
When Mr. Chada’s son encountered difficulties off the Limone resort’s coast on Friday, the family had just leased a boat.
It is believed that the holiday was planned to honor Mr. Chada, who will be 52 on Tuesday.
The coastguard informed the BBC that Mr. Chada’s partner called emergency number 112 in Europe to raise the alarm.
They claimed that after “saving his son,” Mr. Chada “disappeared” close to the boat.
The father dove into the sea while the mother yelled, a witness informed the local newspaper.
The coast guard reported that one of their boats, which had been on patrol nearby, was despatched right away.
“As soon as they arrived in the waters in front of Limone, the coastguard rescuers reached the pleasure craft and tried to acquire from the missing person’s wife the precise point from where the victim had never emerged”
