Brent Moorer Gaskins is an African American actor who was born in Brooklyn, New York (Coney Island) on February 21, 1967, to Louise Gaskins (Ponds) and Herman Moorer. He was the ninth child.
He was raised in Brooklyn up until the age of six before moving to Camden, South Carolina. He began the educational system there and continued it through his graduation and two years of study in the engineering program at the University of South Carolina Gamecocks.
