He worked as the Detroit Pistons’ assistant coach as well. Michael, his son, is continuing his father’s successful coaching career.

Michael Malone won’t be available for the Nuggets’ preseason game against the Phoenix Suns as a result of this defeat; assistant coach David Adelman will take over.
