Cormac McCarthy was an American writer born on July 20, 1933, in Providence, Rhode Island, United States. He is currently no more since he passed away of natural causes at his home in Santa Fe on June 13, 2023, at the age of 89.
He authored twelve novels, two plays, five screenplays, and three short stories, spanning the Western and post-apocalyptic genres. He was known for his graphic depictions of violence and his unique writing style, recognizable by the sparse use of punctuation and attribution.
