Since 2004, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan has served as President of the United Arab Emirates, Emir of Abu Dhabi, and Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
For over four decades, he has also been the chairman of the Supreme Petroleum Council.
The Ministry of Presidential Affairs announced on today (May 13) that UAE President Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan had died.
He was also the ruler of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

He someway somewhat controlled over 97.8 billion barrels of oil reserves and was chairman of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, which manages $875 billion in assets, the largest amount managed by a nation’s head of state in the world.
Collectively, the Al Nahyan family is believed to hold a fortune of $200 billion dollars.
