Even though Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are no longer a couple, they are still the joyful parents of six amazing children.

When she adopted Maddox Chivan, then age 21, from a Cambodian orphanage in 2002, Jolie became a mother for the first time. Zahara Marley, a 17-year-old Ethiopian native, joined the family three years later, expanding it. Soon after, Pitt adopted Jolie’s first two kids as well, and the pair decided to continue growing their family.

Maddox Chivan, the eldest child of Jolie and Pitt Jolie-Pitt was born on August 5, 2001 in Battambang, Cambodia. He was adopted by Jolie, with whom she had already fallen in love, after spending his first seven months of existence in an orphanage.

Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt was adopted by Jolie when she was seven months old. She was born on January 8, 2005, in Hawassa, Ethiopia. Initially, Maddox and Jolie went to Zahara’s orphanage together after he expressed interest in visiting Africa. Maddox observed the young girl needed help when he first saw her.

Jolie and Pitt made their pregnancy public in 2006. Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, their daughter, was born on May 27 at the Cottage Hospital in Swakopmund, Namibia, where the family had been residing recently. Shiloh adapted to her family very well.

Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt was born in Vietnam on November 29, 2003, and spent his early years at an orphanage outside of Ho Chi Minh City. When Jolie visited the country in 2007 with Maddox, he was three years old and was adopted by Jolie. Due to Vietnamese law making it difficult for unmarried couples to adopt, Jolie adopted the young child alone at the time; nevertheless, Pitt formally adopted him in 2008.

Jolie appeared at the Independent Spirit Awards in 2008 while sporting a baby bump, which led to the couple’s announcement that they were expecting.

Knox Léon and Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt were born as twins on July 12 in Nice, France. At 5.3 pounds, Knox came a few minutes before his sister. The young kid was named after Pitt’s grandpa, Hal Knox Hillhouse, it was later discovered.

Fraternal twin Vivienne Marcheline of Knox was delivered on July 12, 2008, exactly one minute after her sibling and weighed 5 lbs. Given that she shares the same first name as Jolie, she was given the name of Jolie’s grandmother.
