Bradley Jay Little (born February 15, 1954) is the 33rd governor of Idaho, having taken office in January 2019. He was a Republican who served as Idaho’s 42nd lieutenant governor from 2009 to 2019 and as an Idaho state senator from 2001 to 2009.
Little received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Idaho in 1976. He has worked in the public sector since the 1980s. Little was appointed by Governor Dirk Kempthorne as an Idaho state senator in 2001, a position he served for slightly under eight years.
Little chaired the majority caucus and represented the 8th and (after redistricting in 2002) 11th legislative districts in the Senate. After the former lieutenant governor, Jim Risch resigned to become a United States Senator, Governor Butch Otter appointed Little to the role of lieutenant governor in 2009.
