Former Fox News host Eric Bolling has had a tumultuous professional journey since departing the network in 2017. Despite brief stints at Blaze Media, Sinclair Broadcast Group, and most recently, Newsmax, the conservative political commentator has struggled to find stability in the ever-changing media landscape.
Bolling, born on March 2, 1963, in Chicago, Illinois, started his career as a commodities trader on Wall Street before transitioning into media. He joined Fox Business Network in 2008, where he co-hosted several shows and became a familiar face on the network. Bolling later moved to Fox News, where he co-hosted The Five and served as a guest host on various opinion shows.
In 2017, Bolling was embroiled in controversy when allegations of sending unsolicited, salacious text messages to female colleagues surfaced. Despite denying the claims, he was suspended from Fox News and ultimately parted ways with the network. Tragically, the same day he left Fox News, Bolling’s son, Eric, passed away from an accidental drug overdose, leading him to establish the Eric Chase Foundation to combat the opioid crisis.
After departing Fox News, Bolling had stints at Conservative Review’s CRTV and TheBlaze network before joining Sinclair Broadcast Group in 2019. However, his show was quietly canceled in 2021. Bolling then moved to Newsmax in 2021, where he hosted a popular show called Eric Bolling The Balance. Despite its success, Newsmax announced they were parting ways with Bolling in May 2024.
As of June 2024, Bolling’s next career move remains unknown, with the former host teasing followers with a cryptic social media post saying “Stay Tuned.” Fans and viewers are left wondering what the future holds for the media personality as he navigates the ever-evolving world of conservative media.
