His wife confirmed the heartbreaking news on Facebook, stating that Marco had died in Cologne, Germany, while doing what he loved. As his body is in a foreign country, there will be delays in bringing him back to Portugal. Born in the Azores archipelago, Marco had a strong passion for muscle building. Despite facing physical challenges that initially prevented him from doing sports, he found solace and purpose in weightlifting.
