Idris Olanrewaju Okuneye, sometimes referred to as “Bobrisky,” is a controversial cross-dresser who was sentenced to six months in prison without the possibility of a fine for misusing Nigerian cash (Naira).

Remember when the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFFC) detained and placed Bobrisky under detention after he mistreated and disfigured the Naira notes?

Bobrisky then entered a guilty plea to four counts of altering cash during an event.

However, Justice Abimbola Awogboro, the High Court judge, stated in his ruling that the sentence will act as a disincentive to those who enjoy misusing and disfiguring naira notes.

Drama reportedly broke out in the courtroom when the judge questioned Bobrisky’s gender and he promptly answered that he was a guy.
