Bobby Aylward was a former Irish Fianna Fáil politician. From 2007 to 2011 and 2015 to 2020, he served as a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Carlow, Kilkenny constituency. From 1992 until his election to the Dáil in 2007, he was a member of the Kilkenny County Council and the chairperson of the Council from 2003 to 2004.
Aside from politics, he has also worked as a farmer while he was a TD. Aylward attended the Castlegannon National school, Scoil Aireagail vocational school, and Kildalton Agricultural College. He was a member of the Ballyhale Shamrocks GAA Club.
On July 14, 2022, at the age of 67, he passed away.

Bobby Aylward would be laid down on Saturday at Donnacha Doyle & Sons Funeral Home, Grannagh, Kilmacow, County Kilkenny from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
Requiem mass at 1:00 pm on Monday at the All Saints Church Knockmoylan, Mullinavat, County Kilkenny (via his residence).
A later burial will be held in the adjoining cemetery.
