Police discovered the musician’s body at his North London home. He was reported to have died on an unknown date from the effects of cirrhosis-related gastrointestinal hemorrhage. He died at the age of 65 years in Brent Cross, London.

In the early 70s, Weston replaced guitarist Danny Kirwan in Fleetwood Mac. After it was discovered that he was having an ongoing affair with Fleetwood’s wife, Jenny Boyd, he was fired from the band by drummer Mick Fleetwood.

Weston went on to play in Murray Head’s and Ian Wallace’s All-Stars Bands, as well as release a number of solo albums, one of which featured Mick Fleetwood on drums.
