Bob Dylan is an American singer-songwriter who goes by the legal name Robert Dylan. He was born Robert Allen Zimmerman on May 24, 1941. Throughout his more than 60-year career, Dylan, who is frequently regarded as one of the greatest songwriters of all time, has been a significant figure in popular culture.

Songs like “Blowin’ in the Wind” (1963) and “The Times They Are a-Changin'” (1964), which became anthems for the civil rights and antiwar movements, are among his most well-known works from the 1960s. During this time, his lyrics appealed to the burgeoning counterculture while also defying pop music conventions by incorporating a variety of political, social, philosophical, and literary influences.

In the early 1970s, David Zimmerman, Sara Dylan, and Bob Dylan—David Zimmerman’s older brother—managed Skogie (and the Flaming Pachucos). David Zimmerman is from Minnesota. His business was known as Bernard Productions at the time.

David worked at Sound 80 Studios, where “Blood On The Tracks” was finished, to get Skogie their first recording contract and produce their first record, “The Butler Did It.”

“David offered to get us a Dylan song that had never been recorded to record, but we, like idiots, turned him down without even listening, because we wanted to record our own material!” -Moore Tangletown. Give them a try.
