The Black Stars are on the rise once again, according to the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin. After securing two crucial victories in the latest World Cup qualifiers, Bagbin expressed optimism that the team will continue to excel under the guidance of Otto Addo.
In their third and fourth matches of the tournament, Ghana emerged victorious against Mali and the Central African Republic. Led by Otto Addo, the team displayed resilience and skill as they secured a 2-1 win over Mali in Bamako and a thrilling 4-3 victory against the Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
These wins not only boost Ghana’s chances of qualifying for the World Cup but also elevate their position in both the FIFA global rankings and the rankings within Africa.
During the launch of the Democracy Cup, Bagbin emphasized the importance of patience and support for the team. He highlighted the fact that success does not come overnight and urged fans to encourage and support the technical team as they work towards bringing glory back to Ghana.
“It takes time for the team to settle and gel. And you realize the names that you are mentioning, they didn’t achieve it in a day. It took a long group of them from the youth growing together to become the stars. So please, let’s have patience and be tolerant. Let’s encourage and support the technical team, and everybody. Ghana will once again rise up to the glory of God,” Bagbin said.
With Otto Addo at the helm and the team showing promising signs of improvement, Ghanaian fans have every reason to be hopeful for the future of the Black Stars. As the team continues to work hard and build on their recent successes, the prospect of seeing Ghana shine on the world stage once again is becoming more and more likely.
