The Black Stars, Ghana’s national football team, are getting ready to face Mali in their upcoming FIFA World Cup Matchday 3 qualifier. The team will be departing from Accra for Bamako on Tuesday, June 4, 2024.

Under the guidance of coach Otto Addo, the Black Stars have been putting in the work during their rigorous training sessions in Accra for the past four days to ensure they are well-prepared for the crucial match. The game is scheduled to take place at Stade 26 Mars in Bamako, with the kick-off set for 19:00.

Ghana is currently focused on getting back to winning ways after a mixed start in Group I of the World Cup qualifiers. The team started their campaign with a 1-0 win against Madagascar in Kumasi but then suffered a 1-0 defeat to Comoros in Moroni.

Currently occupying the 4th position in Group I, the Black Stars are determined to secure victories in their upcoming matches, especially against Mali, in order to enhance their chances of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

After the match against Mali, Ghana will be facing the Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Monday, June 10, 2024. Fans are eagerly anticipating these crucial matches as the Black Stars aim to make their mark on the road to the World Cup.
