Black Stars team announced by Chris Hughton for games against Angola

Chris Hughton, the head coach of the Black Stars, has selected a 25-man squad for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Angola.

In the upcoming international window, Ghana will play two games against Angola with a spot at the following AFCON on the line. The opening leg of the match will take place on March 23 and the second leg will start four days later.

Hughton’s team for his initial call-ups consists of Joseph Paintsil, Majeed Ashimeru, and Patrick Kpozo, with Baba Rahman and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku being left out.

Jojo Wollacott, who was injured and missed the 2022 FIFA World Cup, is now back on the team in place of Asante Kotoko shot-stopper Ibrahim Danlad.

For the match against the Palancras, Edmund Addo, who had also been missing from the team recently, has been called back.
