Billy Ray Cyrus is an American country musician and actor who was born on August 25, 1961, in Flatwoods, Kentucky.
He is famous for the smash-hit single Achy Breaky Heart, which peaked at number one on the Hot Country Songs chart in the United States and became the first song to ever be certified triple platinum in Australia.

Not much is really known about his parents. All we know is that his father was a steelworker who turned into a politician.
His appreciation for music started as a child because most of his family members were very musical. He decided to pursue music as a full-time career when he realized it was his calling in college.
He dropped out of college and relocated to Los Angeles to make his dreams come true. Cyrus resided in a neighbor’s car while looking for a record deal.
His persistence all paid off in 1990 when his career officially took off. He went on tour with Elvis Presley, Jan and Dean Martin, and Reba McEntire in 1990.
1992 saw the publication of his debut which became a global hit.
