In March 2018, Bill Turnbull said he had advanced prostate cancer, adding that he had been given the diagnosis in November.
He claimed that he was identified after long-term aches and symptoms that he had attributed to “old age” stopped responding to medication.

Mr. Turnbull became a spokesperson for prostate cancer charities after disclosing his diagnosis and urged others to get tested.
He said: “Maybe if I’d got it earlier and stopped it at the prostate, I’d be in a much better state.”
He has been very candid about his health difficulties and described his cancer treatment in the Staying Alive program on Channel 4.
Even though the illness has spread to his bones, he continued his broadcasting profession in late 2019 and said that he still had a “good old time to live.”
After Piers Morgan left the program, the 65-year-old recently appeared on Good Morning Britain alongside his former BBC Breakfast co-star Susanna Reid.
