William Robert Jolyon Turnbull was a British journalist . He was born in January 1956. He worked as a broadcaster for the BBC for more than a decade. He later moved to Classic FM, where he became a presenter.

The former BBC show host is reported to have passed away in the late hours of August 31, 2022. His family confirmed his death with an official statement which was subsequently posted on social media by various outlets.
According to many sources, the 66-year-old Surrey native had been battling with prostrate cancer since March 2018 when he disclosed he had been diagnosed with the condition.
After several treatments and therapy sessions Bill and his family believed they had got the condition under control or at least managed some form of temporary relief. However a reoccurence in recent months has claimed the life of the legendary journalist.
