William H. Thompson was an American radio host and voice actor who lived from July 8, 1913, to July 15, 1971. His career spanned the 1930s through the time of his death.

He voiced Droopy in most of the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer cartoon studio’s theatrical cartoons from 1943 to 1958, and he was a prominent comedian on the Fibber McGee and Molly radio series from 1943 to 1958.
