Black Stars forward Mohammed Kudus has credited his impressive debut season with West Ham United to his dedication and self-confidence. The London-based club secured the signature of the Ghanaian international from Ajax Amsterdam last season, fending off competition from other top clubs.

Kudus made an immediate impact, scoring 14 goals for the Hammers in various competitions, including a spectacular bicycle kick in the final game of the Premier League against eventual champions Manchester City.

After the match, in which West Ham succumbed to a 3-1 defeat, the 23-year-old expressed his appreciation for his teammates and the club staff, attributing his success to his unwavering self-belief and readiness to tackle challenges head-on.

He stated, “Thanks to the manager and everyone at the club. It’s my first season but the staff, the players, the coaches, and everyone around the club helped me to settle in quite well. Big credit to myself also for believing in myself and putting in the efforts day in and day out. So we can only get better.”

With a total of 18 goals in all competitions by the end of the season, Kudus emphasized that there is still room for improvement and promised fans to expect more from him in the upcoming seasons.

“I’m still far off how I see myself performing in this league and doing my best. It’s good to get the first season on the run but I have a long way to go and there is more stuff coming ahead,” he added.

Fans of West Ham United and supporters of the Black Stars can anticipate even greater performances from Mohammed Kudus as he continues to strive for excellence in the Premier League.
