Betty Sue Lynn, the oldest daughter of Loretta Lynn and Oliver Vanetta Lynn, passed away on July 29, 2013 at the age of 64. Betty Sue died from complications of emphysema in Waverly, Tennessee.

Betty was born on November 26, 1948. She left behind two daughters, Lynn Markworth and Audrey Dyer, as well as five grandchildren.

Reports suggest that Betty died from emphysema,which is a chronic lung disease that inhibits oxygen from the lungs from entering the bloodstream.

According to a family statement, Lynn passed away in Waverly, Tenn., not far from her mother’s house in Hurricane Mills, following emphysema complications.
