Bernard Tekpetey shines as Ludogorets secure 3-0 win over Hebar in the Bulgarian First League
Ghanaian winger Bernard Tekpetey put on a stellar performance as Ludogorets cruised to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Hebar in the Bulgarian First Professional League.
The match, which took place at the Georgi Benkovski Stadium, saw Tekpetey score twice in the first half before being substituted after 62 minutes.
The game got off to an exciting start for Ludogorets, with the visitors taking the lead in the 7th minute. Aslak Fonn Witry delivered a fantastic pass to Kwadwo Duah, who then set up Tekpetey for an easy finish to put Ludogorets 1-0 up. Tekpetey then doubled Ludogorets’ lead in the 19th minute after taking advantage of a mistake by Hebar defender Joao Cesko. The young Ghanaian calmly slotted the ball between the goalkeeper’s legs to make it 2-0.
Rwan Seco sealed the victory for Ludogorets in the 78th minute, scoring from a pass by Aslak Fonn Witry. Tekpetey has been in top form this season, scoring ten goals and providing four assists in 28 appearances in the Bulgarian First Professional League. Swiss-born Ghanaian striker Kwadwo Duah also put on a solid performance, starting the game and playing for 62 minutes.
