Berekum Chelsea’s Mezack Afriyie remains optimistic about his team’s chances of finishing in the top four of the Ghana Premier League as the season draws to a close.
The Bibires currently sit in eighth place in the league standings with 44 points, having secured 13 wins, 5 draws, and 12 defeats in 30 matches.
In an interview, Afriyie shared his confidence in the team’s ability to achieve their goal, stating, “Our target is at least to finish among the top four teams at the end of the Ghana Premier League season and we are very confident about that.” Despite his personal performance of 5 goals and 2 assists in 25 games, the 20-year-old striker believes that the team can still make a strong finish.
After dominating headlines last season, Afriyie’s form may have dipped this campaign, but he remains focused on helping Berekum Chelsea succeed. The team will face Great Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium in their upcoming matchday 31 fixture, where they will look to secure a positive result to boost their chances of a top four finish.
