Ghanaian striker Benjamin Bernard Boateng was the star of the show as he helped Al Ittihad secure a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Ismaily SC in the Egyptian Premier League clash on Monday evening.

The Borg El Arab Stadium was the venue for the highly anticipated match, where Boateng’s performance was nothing short of outstanding. The two teams, known for their fierce rivalry, added another draw to their head-to-head record, highlighting the competitive nature of the game.

Even though Ismaily SC dominated possession, it was Al Ittihad Alexandria who had more goal attempts. Boateng broke the deadlock in the 21st minute with a clinical left-footed shot from the left side of the six-yard box, thanks to an assist from Mabululu during a swift counter-attack.

However, Ismaily SC quickly responded in the 39th minute with a goal from Mohamed Bayoumi, leveling the scoreline at 1-1. Boateng’s contribution to the team’s performance cannot be overlooked, as he has been a key player this season, scoring five goals and providing one assist in 15 games.

Al Ittihad Alexandria will now shift their focus to their upcoming league game against El Gouna FC, aiming to build on their recent result and continue their pursuit of success in the Egyptian Premier League.

Boateng’s stellar performance against Ismaily SC has further solidified his importance to the team, making him a player to watch in the league.
