Former professional footballer Alistair Benjamin Wilkinson, also known as Ben Wilkinson, was born on April 25, 1987, and now works at Manchester City’s academy. He was a midfielder who played for Boston United, Hull City, Harrogate Town, Gretna, York City, Altrincham, Chester City, and Tamworth. Wilkinson was the son of former player and manager Howard Wilkinson and was born in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. He participated in the youth teams of Derby County, Sheffield Wednesday, and Sheffield United before joining the latter team in May 2003 as a scholar. He signed on with Hull City in January 2005, where he completed his scholarship.
