In advance of the December elections, John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has urged the Minority in Parliament to oppose any attempt by the government to place additional hardship on Ghanaians.

The Minority, according to Mr. Mahama, is still the only force that can prevent the government from putting Ghanaians through hardship and harsh policies.

John Mahama said that the government should cease causing suffering to Ghanaians while speaking to minority MPs in Ho, in the Volta Region.

“It is timely and appropriate that you are returning, as it provides you with the chance to exercise even more watchfulness and supervision over a government that is growing more and more desperate and undoubtedly trying to force harsh policies on the people of Ghana.”

“I think I speak for the majority of Ghanaians when I say that you in the Minority have lived up to expectations based on the evidence of what we have seen so far.”
