The King of Gonjaland, Yagbonwura Bi-Kunuto Jewu Soale, has expressed his confidence in Vice President and NPP flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, becoming the President of Ghana. Dr. Bawumia is currently on a nationwide tour, visiting communities and engaging with key stakeholders.
During a meeting with the Savannah Regional House of Chiefs in Damongo, the Yagbonwura, who also serves as the President of the Savannah Regional House of Chiefs, endorsed Dr. Bawumia’s potential presidency. He referenced Dr. Bawumia’s campaign slogan, stating “it is possible” for him to lead the country.
The Yagbonwura thanked Dr. Bawumia for his significant contributions to the development of Gonjaland, referring to him as an illustrious son of the Gonja Kingdom. He presented Dr. Bawumia with a smock as a gesture of appreciation for his support and dedication to Gonjaland.
The Yagbonwura’s endorsement adds to the growing support for Dr. Bawumia as he continues his tour in the Savannah Region. The relationship between Dr. Bawumia and the Kingdom of Gonjaland is expected to strengthen further, as the Yagbonwura offers his blessings for Dr. Bawumia’s aspirations to become the President of Ghana.
