The head of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dan Botwe, is optimistic that his party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, will win the upcoming elections in December.
Mr. Botwe, a former minister of local government, claims that the NPP is ready to take power and win a majority of votes in the next presidential and parliamentary elections.
Speaking to reporters in Accra, Dan Botwe said he was certain the NPP would defeat the eight-year election cycle curse and win.
He underlined the party’s resolve to working hard to accomplish its goals, which include winning the majority of the 275 parliamentary seats.
We’ll put in a lot of effort to ensure that our goals are met. Additionally, we are going to win more than 50% of the presidential vote as well as the majority of the 275 seats in Parliament.
The flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, expressed optimism to the media following a meeting with his campaign and manifesto teams. He claimed that the NPP has outperformed the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in terms of performance and that this will help him win the December elections.
“The president’s stirring speech at the State of the Nation Address makes it abundantly evident that we have the vision and the record. I could see from listening to the president that we have surpassed the NDC government in every area. There isn’t a single industry where they performed better than us.
