The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has once again assured Ghanaians that the ongoing power outages will soon be resolved.

Dr Bawumia initially made this assurance during a meeting with regional executives of the NPP in the Eastern Region as part of his nationwide campaign for the upcoming 2024 general elections.

During a subsequent meeting with the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs on the same day, Dr Bawumia reiterated his commitment to addressing the power outages, stating, “We are aware of the recent power outages that have affected every Ghanaian and our local businesses and I assure you that we are leaving no stone unturned in resolving this issue. In fact, the information I have from the Ministry of Energy is that this issue will be resolved in the next few weeks completely, so let us hope that we get it done.”

Meanwhile, Nana Akuamoah Boateng, the Vice President of the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs, took the opportunity to encourage all Ghanaians to uphold peace and unity as the country approaches the next general elections. He urged citizens to practice tolerance and respect for differing opinions to maintain the nation’s stability and progress.

As Ghana prepares for the December 7, 2024 general elections, both Dr Bawumia and Nana Akuamoah Boateng emphasize the importance of maintaining peace and unity, urging citizens to refrain from divisive actions and rhetoric that could hinder the country’s development.
