The Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, Mahama Ayariga, has called on Ghanaians to reject Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the next president in the upcoming 2024 elections.

Speaking at the National Democratic Congress (NDC) campaign launch on Saturday, July 27, Ayariga criticized Bawumia’s leadership of the government’s Economic Management Team, accusing him of steering the country towards economic collapse.

Ayariga highlighted the negative impact of Bawumia’s economic policies on the nation’s financial health, stressing that the NPP flagbearer has a track record of mismanaging the economy. He urged voters to consider the economic challenges the country has faced under Bawumia’s oversight.

Drawing a comparison between Bawumia and the NDC flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, Ayariga praised Mahama for his effective economic management during his tenure. He emphasized Mahama’s ability to deliver stable economic growth and stability, contrasting it with the economic challenges experienced under Bawumia.

Ayariga concluded by urging Ghanaians to vote for John Dramani Mahama in the upcoming elections, citing his experience and proven track record in economic management as reasons to support him. He emphasized the need for voters to choose a candidate who can lead the country towards economic recovery and stability.

As the political landscape heats up ahead of the 2024 elections, Ayariga’s remarks add to the ongoing debate over the country’s economic direction and the leadership qualities of the presidential candidates.
