Reggae and dancehall musician Barrington Ainsworth Levy was born in Jamaica on April 30, 1964.

Levy was one of the biggest Jamaican artists by the time his 1980 album Robin Hood was published, and he also saw his worldwide renown rise, particularly in the UK.

Run Come Ya, a rare showcase album released in 1981 on the Canadian Puff Records label, marked Levy’s production debut.

A significant smash on the reggae charts with “Under Mi Sensi” was followed by the crossover hit “Here I Come,” which peaked at number 41 on the UK Singles Chart in 1985. He started working with Paul “Jah Screw” Love and began touring the UK in 1984.

Levy is a very private person and as a result, he has not mentioned the names of his parents anywhere.  Thus who his parents are, where they stay, and what they do for a living are not known.
