Despite landing their top target, Robert Lewandowski, Barcelona president Joan Laporta insists his team is not done in the summer transfer market.
After agreeing a £42.5 million deal with the Bundesliga champions, the Bayern Munich striker became the club’s fourth signing of the transfer window. The 33-year-old had been Barcelona’s top priority during this transfer window.
The focus has shifted from the front to the back, with Laporta insisting that there is still work to be done. The arrival of Andreas Christensen from Chelsea has already strengthened the Blaugrana’s defense, but their business appears to be far from over.
Jules Kounde of Sevilla and Cesar Azpilicueta of Chelsea have both been heavily linked with moves to the Nou Camp.
Laporta has also confirmed that they will seek reinforcements before the window closes on September 1.
