Barbara Walters was an American broadcast journalist and television personality who began her career as a writer and segment producer of women’s interest stories on “The Today Show” in the 1960s.

She interviewed first ladies and presidents of the United States, from Richard Nixon to Barack Obama. She likewise led interviews with Joe Biden and Donald Trump when they were not yet presidents. In addition to being inducted into the Television Hall of Fame in 1989, Barbara Walters received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2007. Additionally, she received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in the year 2000.
