A Nigerian Lady is calling for a ban on movie production in Asaba following a harrowing ordeal she faced in the industry.

The lady, known as @judasofbead01 on TikTok, shared how she was tricked by a movie producer on Instagram who promised her a role in an upcoming film. However, upon arrival in Asaba, Delta state, she was asked for a registration fee of N200,000 and despite paying it, she was never featured in any movie.

The lady also alleged facing uncomfortable advances during her stay and expressed concern about exploitation in the industry. She pointed out recent tragedies like the fatal boat accident involving actor Junior Pope and others returning from a movie shoot in the Anam River as reasons for her call to ban movie production in Asaba.

In a video shared on TikTok, @judasofbead01 called out the deceptive practices of movie directors who lure individuals to Asaba under false pretenses. She urged the government to intervene and regulate the industry to prevent further exploitation.
